3/17 Seed List

Despite Purdue’s OT loss to Wisconsin, I have chosen to keep them as the #1 overall seed. While it is almost dead even in every category, Purdue has played the overall tougher schedule and has an average NET win of 78 (the highest of anyone). UConn is sitting at and average NET win of 124 and for those reasons I have stayed with Purdue on the top of the one seeds.

On the back side of the bracket, I have chosen Texas A&M and Virginia over the likes of Colorado, St. John’s and Seton Hall. I do believe that there are two bubble spots remaining because of all the bid stealing that happened during the conference tournament. Seton Hall has the best wins of all of them but fall to 11-12 in Q1-Q3 combined (no other at-large team in the field is under .500). St. John’s comes in at 13-13 in Q1-Q3 and the only at-large tournament team they have beaten is Creighton (with a win over Seton Hall as well). Colorado is similar with wins over only Washington State twice but finds themselves at 17-10 in Q1-Q3. Virginia who sits at 17-10 in Q1-Q3 has wins over Texas A&M, Clemson, and Florida. Lastly, Texas A&M is 15-14 with a plethora of wins over tournament teams despite their 4 Q3 losses.

Unfortunately, Michigan State and Northwestern find themselves in a play in game due to bid stealers from the ACC, Pac-12, AAC, A-10, and possibly the MWC.
